Burn Baby Burn ( Balaji pays off his $1 million bet 45 days early)

Balaji Srinivasan, the former CTO of Coinbase, has closed a bet ahead of time in which he had predicted Bitcoin's price would reach $1 million per BTC. The bet was settled at a price of $29,562, which is 97% lower than the target price. Instead of losing the bet, Srinivasan has donated a total of $1.5 million to three different entities as a settlement. He paid $500,000 to a Twitter user named James Medlock, who had doubted hyperinflation. He also donated $500,000 to Bitcoin Core developers and gave an additional $500,000 to a non-profit charity called Give Directly. Srinivasan announced on May 2 that the bet had been mutually closed out 45 days ahead of time.

Srinivasan stated in a tweet that he had resolved the bet beforehand and contributed more than the agreed amount. He further explained that he did not intend to waste a million dollars in public. Instead, he decided to end the bet at around $970,000 below his original target price of $1 million per Bitcoin because he believes in the importance of public good and that citizens cannot rely solely on the public sector to identify and address issues.

What he had to say I found extremely  eye opening or to those who knew this was underway he p[provides details backing up those claims. Every member of Thegoldforecast needs to hear this,
