The entire precious metals complex had moderate gains today. Today’s gains were partially due to a renewed optimism that the United States will pass some sort of stimulus aid package prior to the election.

During last month’s FOMC meeting, the Federal Reserve released a statement which was followed by a press conference headed by Chairman Jerome Powell.

A tweet from President Trump today seemed to have come entirely out of left field.
