Ordinal Island passes legislature for new bridge to Ether Island

Ever since their introduction at the start of 2023 ordinals have made waves shaking up not only Bitcoin’s network but the entire crypto sector as the swells continue to rise. To those who have flocked to Bitcoin beach to ride the Satoshi surf there has never been a more exciting time to visit the usually isolated island. The flood of tourists coming from across the entire sector has brought with it a new boom to the struggling island nation. But not all the natives are pleased with the surge in travelers who some are claiming to be unwelcome guests that have caused major traffic jams to their roads and the benefit to the economy is not worth the added pollution to the unique and fragile ecosystem comprised of flora and fauna not found anywhere else on the decentralized planet.

“They fly here on big noisy planes, and leave behind all kine jpegs and majah rubbish left inscribed on my ancestors land” says 70 year old Toshi Kapalama who heads the anti-ordinal indigenous movement who claim that the island nation has prospered for over a decade in isolation but is now being threatened by the troves of meme coin tourists, “the flood of non-native new comers is driving up the cost of living for the native population while at the same time eroding our native culture as the youth forgo the ancient ways adopting a kapakahi (crooked) western mindset.”

But the Vice President of the Joint Mining/Tourism Council, Ron Ripple sees it differently recently stating his view at a local pro miners rally, “ Our industry has taken a lot of hits lately it seems everyone wants has been investing in the next up and coming getaway like the Cardano islands of the coast of Africa and the Shibatra part of the Balinese Blockchain off the coast of Bangkok, it warms my heart to see capital and tourists return to the original Island Paradise of Bitcoin Beach and its neighbor islands.” The V.P. has been accused of corruption several times but so far has yet to be convicted. “How does our nation survive after block rewards? Through transaction fees, that is the only way our sovereign nation survives in this harsh economy.”

The revitalized meme pool is only set to become more and more congested with the likes of the newly funded ERC-721 bridge to Ordinal Island set to connect the top two decentralized destinations in the world ordinals will now allow users to migrate their Ethereum ERC-721-based nonfungible tokens (NFTs) to the Bitcoin blockchain with the launch of the BRC-721E standard. A local sat surfer says the BTC breaks are already getting overcrowded and overrun by the Ether Island immigrants, “I mean on the surface were both alike, but you see we are far from similar to Etherians we do share a common heritage however our ideals are vastly different and I don’t want our special identity to get assimilated into the non-cap piece of shit (PoS) jungle of endless tokens with no soul, no Mana, them nothing more than capitalist copycat coins.”

Ripple says the hostile locals are a bunch of jungle monkeys standing in the way of progress stating that for the first time we are getting developers crossing chains to build on Ordinal Island and that the mass migration will only aid in the vastly devastated island community being lifted from a life of poverty. “We have a saying on BTC beach, if you don’t like us have fun being poor.”

Nobody knows how this experiment will end and BTC’s transformation from a mining community to a meme coin mecca is far from written in stone. However, two things are certain Ordinal Island will continue to be built out to have a modern infrastructure to rival any island chain in the world and the native maxi population will not give up their sacred chain that has remained out of reach of other industrialized blockchains for nearly a decade.
